I watched that match and almost all of brazil wc qualifiers their standard dropped alot You see no more samba from them for quite awhile since they hosted the wc which was a disaster If you remember japan did very very in the last world cup The only thing they lose is playing at top level Many brazilians play for top level teams than japanese in fact asian football standards are narrowing against their western counterparts asian players needs to play high level football and not just at national level
