SHARKS continues with their Frenzy.......
1st half
Sharks open their 1st half with an attacking play thats not been tested before. Though the passing among each other works but it also shows that with more practise, they will get it right in time.
Team Yellow defense was doing hard tackles and for the most of the first part of the half, our players had to endure the hard game. However a rash mistake in the penalty box resulted in a rash tackle on Syed.
Referee awards SHARKS a penalty. Syed picks the ball and line it up. With full confidence, he shot the ball to the centre. However the keeper very bearly manage to get a hold of it but due to the tenacity of the force, the ball jus manage to Slip through the keeper's elbow. SHARKS leads by 1 to nothing.
The last part of the half resulted in loss of concentration which only encourage Team Yellow to take the possession to our half. However the SHARKS Defence manage to weather it through and soon it was half time.
2nd half
Sharks tries with a new formation, 4 - 5 - 1 using 2 attacking midfielders and a defensive Mid. It manage to hold the game slightly better and most attacks were kept at bay.
Defence as usual manage to clear to the sides for the wingers to capitalise. Dan made use of his speed and brought the ball down the left flank. He got in line and tried to loop the ball towards the direction of the keeper but little did we know it went out of the Keeper's reach and..............Its A GOAL!!!!!!! SHARKS Scores again......With Dan's beautiful Loop.
Sharks begins gearing up for more assaulting play......Gunning playing as Right Mid today pressured the Team Yellow's L/Back for possession. With that move, Gunning manage to take the ball away and he went on by his own towards the Team yellow's keeper............He SCORES...............Jus by a simple flick..... Its a SHARK ATTACK!
Nearing the end, Sharks starts to lose a little steam and as a result they gave Team Yellow a Penalty kick and they manage to convert it and got a consolation Goal.
Final Score SHARKS 3 - 1 Team Yellow
Today 3 KEY takeaways, we need to take note from now on:
1) When the ball, is out of our reach, we must still make an effort to pressure the opponent by nearing him.
2) Always play within our given position and DO NOT take over another person's responsibilities.
3) Coming to the last 10 mins of any half, Even the Midfielders must play Defensively if the result is in the bag.
Next game will be scheduled on 1st March 08.........Stay tuned for details from 27th Feb 08 onwards.......Rest Well and Keep Running, SHARKS!
