SHARKS extend their unbeaten run after today's game...
1st Half
Full Squad attended and options were many. Best turn out ever for FC SHARKS.
Went in with a 4-4-2 formation but more attacking options were tried. Today its the best game we had cos not only we won convincingly in both half but also showed that we had potential to dominate the game with a defensive formation when the call is needed.
Today we played against Team White, We overwhelm them with our continue runs of attacking play and our strikers were just too fast for them to handle. Sulaiman make his debut after 2 weeks of lay off due to Work. With his 1st 11 appearance, he rewarded all with a well taken shot which is created by Hafhsya. Its truly a Pair made in heaven.
Another through ball was created by the Defensive Mid Adam with that Sulaiman took the ball in and shot, it went straight in and the keeper had no chance of getting a hold of it.
SHARKS 2 - 0 Team White
Hafsya managed to get a hold off one of the loose ball, he tried to take it in by himselfbut was brought down in the Penalty Box. The Ref signals to the spot. Sulaiman was asked to take the Spot Kick, he composed himself before placing the ball,But he shot it only half left and Keeper read correctly but to the dismay of Team White, the Ref blew his whistle as the keeper left his line before the whistle of the penalty was given. Hafsya then step up, placed the ball. With everyone holding their breath, he look at the Keeper then Look at the ball, then he aim the shot towards the bottom left of the goal mouth.........And its a GOAAAAALLLLLL!!!!! He gets the goal for SHARKS.
SHARKS 3 - 0 Team White
2nd Half
Today our objective was to achieve a clean sheet. Several changes were made to strengthen the defense. We started with only one striker and beef up the midfield. For the first 20 mins we had no bite at all though we were defending well.
Then made 2 more tactical changes and things started to flow again. Though we were playing a defensive plan but it really spoilt the flow. After the swap of positions, we were back to our attacking ways. Faizal team up with Danny Upfront in the last 20 mins.
Within mins of the swap, we got another goal from our Right Mid Surendran who got the ball from Faizal whose unselfish play, gave a pass after the Team White Defender committed into him. With the Goal mouth open, Surendren, just have to tap in for Goal!
Game restarted and Team White is very demoralised. With quick pressure from SHARKS they falter under tremendous pressure. Soon the passes were slowing down and Faizal managed to take the ball away and spotting the GK coming out from his position, Faizal took a shot, placing it to the top right corner of the Goal Mouth......Its a GOALLLLLL!!!!! Everyone rise up to their feet in celebration.........Its was a very well-taken shot with great anticipated foresight.
SHARKS 5 - 0 Team White
Coming to the last mins, a corner was given away to Team White, the ball was fight for by everyone but Team White Striker, with all his might gave a last effort to shoot and He gets the goal with a well-taken volley. It cost us the Clean-sheet though we put up a fantastic show.
Overall, The defence did us very proud today fending off all the attacks from Team WHite. Without the tenacity in all their tackles, we would not have secure this result, Truly a day to celebrate a new level achieve in our defense departments.
Do savour today's galore......We are really enjoying ourselves in fine style for now.....Looking forward to our next game in anticipation.
