Secret codes to unlock characters, modes and more in Street Fighter 30th Anniversary
This might be obvious to several of you, but people who just bought SF30 may not realize that several of the games have codes to unlock content. There are hidden stages, -isms, character colors, old versions of characters (Alpha 2 has this, but very notable in Super Turbo), and more. Here are just some of the more notable ones:
You can actually see all the secrets and codes for a game in offline mode, before launching a game press triangle go to see its history. The game will list codes as well as info about the game.
Super Turbo - Play as Akuma
On the character select screen, highlight Ryu, wait three seconds. Then highlight T. Hawk, Guile, Cammy and Ryu, waiting three seconds between each selection. Highlight any character, press Start and all three Punch buttons simultaneously. I find it helps to mash out the last four buttons. You can use him online, but don't.
Street Fighter Alpha - Play as Akuma/Dan/Dictator
Akuma: Put the cursor on the random select box on your side, and hold start, then press: Player 1: Down, Down, Down, Left, Left, Left, then press Jab+Fierce or Short+Roundhouse Player 2: Down, Down, Down, Right, Right, Right, then press Jab+Fierce or Short+Round
Dan: Put the cursor on the random select box on your side, and hold start, then press: Jab, Short, Forward, Roundhouse, Fierce, Strong or Fierce, Roundhouse, Forward, Short, Jab, Strong
Dictator: Put the cursor on the random select box on your side, and hold start, then press: Player 1: Down, Down, Left, Left, Down, Left, Left, then press Jab+Fierce or Short+Roundhouse Player 2: Down, Down, Right, Right, Down, Right, Right, then press Ja
Street Fighter Alpha - Dramatic Battle
Requires two players. Have two people join a game. Player 1 should be on Ryu and Player 2 on Ken. Both should hold start, then press Up, Up, then release start. Player 1 press Up, Up, Jab and Player 2 press Up, Up, Fierce.
Street Fighter Alpha 2 - Play as Evil Ryu
Go to Ryu, and press START. Now go to Adon, Akuma, and Adon. Return to Ryu and hold START for five seconds. While still holding START, press any punch or kick button to enable Evil Ryu.
Street Fighter Alpha 3 - Dramatic Battle
This can be done with 1 or 2 players. Simply hold all three kick buttons as you press start on the title screen.
Street Fighter Alpha 3 - Play as Boxer/Juni/Juli
For these, the random select boxes are hidden in the corners of the character select screen.
Balrog: go to Karin, stay there while holding start for 5 sec. Now go to any random box still holding start and press any button.
Juni: stay on Karin for 5 sec. go to any random box. If on the right side hold right, if on the left side hold left then press any button.
Juli: stay on Karin for 5 sec. go to any random box. If on the top hold up, if on the bottom hold down then press any button.
