Guardiola has broken Mikel Arteta now. See what happened over the last 2 seasons including this present season. 2022/23 season Arteta played good attacking Football but capitulated despite holding an 8 point lead over City. Scored plenty of goals but defence cui after Saliba got injured vs Sporting CP. The famous "Arsenal bottled it" season which saw Manchester City claim the EPL. 2023/24 season (last season) Arteta again played good attacking Football and handed out trashings to several teams. Unfortunately for them, Arteta got done by Guardiola yet again. The fatal game was at the Emirates Stadium where Arsenal had a Bad Ebening as they lost 0-2 to Aston Villa with late goals in the game. But of course the bad goals conceded in defeats against Aston Villa (1-0) West Ham (0-2) and Fulham (2-1) during the Christmas stretch were a major factor as well. 2024/25 season (this season) Arteta decided: Since I played attacking Football for the last 2 seasons and I couldn't get my team to finish ahead of Guardiola, I am going to go the other way now. We shall NOT concede goals. Everybody defend as hard as you can, especially the wingers Martinelli and Saka tracking back like mad to defend. We shall deny opponents space with plenty of bodies. When we defend we will get into a 6-4-0 shape. The outcome as we now know: 9 points behind Liverpool after 11 games. The whole attack is blunt and ineffective. Park the bus for many games, play long ball tactics and spam crosses into the box. All this boils down to the fact that Mikel Arteta got broken by Josep Guardiola for the last 2 seasons. Arsenal are not even on course to finish as Christmas Champions this season, which would see them complete the 3-Peat if they are top by Christmas. Never mind challenging for the Premier League trophy, they are done for this season regarding the EPL. All because Josep Guardiola has broken Mikel Arteta. It's funny how I heard this before "Mikel Arteta has broken Josep Guardiola." No mate It is the opposite "Josep Guardiola has broken Mikel Arteta."
