Dear all, So Sorry for the late update. Very busy in work and did not go home at all since Sunday after the game.
SCORE was FCAB 4 - 3 Team Blue
We were nervous as 4 players could not make it for the game due to fever, cousin's wedding and had to report back to work. Team blue looks very good as so far they are one of the better sides i have seen in terms of organisation in warm-up and Semangat among the team.
For us, i had to make do with 13 players. With the 13 i planned the strategy as best as i could, making a few switches in positions and tactics.
The opponents kick off first, at the first 5 mins they were dominating the game and we were trying to hold off the flanking as much as we can. Out of the blue we had a break through and our striker, Bryan, slipped through the defence and launch a powerful shot towards the keeper, it was so hard and straight that the keeper could not keep his hands to it at first touch and as a result he fumbled the ball with it rolling into the goal mouth. GOALLLLLL!!!!! FCAB Scores............. Hurrah to Bryan the Marksman!
Team blue continue to launch an all out assault on the flanks and we kept letting them through due to their fast and fantastic 1 - 2 passing. upon reaching the outskirts of the GK box their No.7 gave a cool slot into the top left corner which the keeper could not manage to punch it out of the of the mouth. With that, team Blue drew level terms at 1 a piece.
With our kick off, we started to build up our attack and we manage to do some crossing but it was to no avail as no one was there to slot the ball in. All of a sudden, the keeper launch a tackle on Bryan while he was about to bring the ball through, the keeper got a Yellow card for his nasty tackle. GP, went up cool, pick the ball up and waited for the referee to measure the penalty mark. With that, he place the ball in the mark and got ready. With 3 steps he launch a shot as hard as he can into the right side and managed to trick the keeper to dive to the other side...............GOALLLLLLL!!!!! FCAB leads the game again at 2 - 1!
Team Blue immediately compose themselves as there were nothing they could do with that goal. Coming to the dying Minutes of the first half the referee gave a Corner Kick as the ball was kick off to safety by the defenders. Team Blue get ready to do an all out attack with this corner. The Corner Kicker gave a in-swinger and miraculously the ball went straight into the goal mouth............. FCAB were in shock with that goal and were really affected to lose that hard fought lead............. Team Blue Drew level at 2 - 2. Half time whistle came!
2nd half Kick off, Woonie got through 2 players with his swift dribbling and he SHOOTS!!!!!!! But it hits the keeper's chest and was deflected out of play to a corner. GP deliver a low corner kick, Augustine let the ball through his legs for Gunning to take a shot but Team Blue defender Manage to get his legs jus in time to clear the ball back to our half. This time FCAB attack from the left, Yoshi brought the ball with his running and manage to deliver a low cross......... The ball led both sides into a frenzy as it landed at the heart of the box, Bryan SWINGS!!!!! but miss kick the ball and it landed nicely for Gunning to SHOOT and GOALLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........ Gunning manage to send the ball through everyone at the bottom left corner of the Goal Mouth......FCAB Leads 3 - 2.
Now BLues are really taking it out in any effort they can spared and a lot of the defending work were co-ordinated between Bala and Ezad. Each time the ball comes close they shut the attack there and then. FCAB were defending as much as they possibly can to keep the lead. This time the ball was passed to Bryan. He bring the ball with him and he beat 1.......... 2.......... 3 defenders in an utmost individual effort and coolly finish it off with a cool slot through. FCAB is really building in confidence as they Leads by 2 goals at 4 - 2.
Team Blue is really desperate and they are attacking with everything they have. FCAB starts to be under pressure and they are losing possession too easily. As a result Team BLue got another Corner Kick. FCAB is not going to allow another in-swinger to spoil the day............ Team Blue Kicks..........Out of the blue their Right Midfeilder who were waiting outside, sneak in fast and manage to connect with the ball while it was in flight..................GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! Team Blue Scores with that perfect set piece. SCORE 4 - 3.
The pressure kept going up and the defenders were cleariung every ball out to make sure the game is FCAB's to keep. With 5 minutes passed, The Ref blew the whistle and FCAB won their Anniversary Game in style. They continue to maintain their winning streak........ Its truly a moment to rejoice and in Good old fashion we celebrated our 2nd anniversary and also Bala's Birthday with a delicious chocolate cake from Bread Talk.
The Team wishes to give their heart felt thanks to 2 supporters who made it. They are Nefrico and Robert. Many Thanks, Lads. Hope the game were up to the standards of what had been promised earlier.
FCAB will be taking part in a tournament from 22nd July till 9th Sept. From now till then they will be playing 2 more friendly games as a preparation to this short tourney.
