Sharks starting arriving from 850am onwards.... Warm Up routine was practised and everyone could see that this outfit is organised... 0905 Game Starts. We wanted to check out BlackJack UTD strong points and weaknesses before giving out our actual line-up. So we went for a more defensive formation. We managed to find out some strong qualities and as stated previously they are strong in their midfield with 3 of them dominating control in their Mid Zone. Our defenders were put to the test yet again as they were running down the flanks especially on our Left where Andy (LB) had to match them neck to neck through his side. We nearly let in a goal as there were some shots rang in trying to find the early lead. Our defenders just cleared everything that were dished out by them. Within minutes while trying to find our composure within our team, we manage to expose them with a through ball and Our Striker Hafsyha ran in by himself cutting to the left beating Black Jack's (RB) and GK leaving the net empty. Without bading an eyelash, he slot the goal, with that effort he maintain his 1 shot 1 kill predatory instincts. Sharks leads the game by 1 Goal. We needed to fend off the attacks further to avoid losing the lead as such our sub (LB) Johari was sent in to neutralise the speedy BlackJack Midfield on the Left. Blackjack continues to pressure us using more midfielders to cloud the zone fighting for every ball in the hope of getting one back. Soon enough Sharks (LMD) No. 8 Bala was fouled for trying to chest the ball but referee saw the picture different as it seems like elbow to the ball instead. Worst of all, it was committed in the Penalty box. Ref awards a Penalty.....Sharks feels the pressure breathing down their necks. With a step or 2, Blackjack (CMD) shot the ball to the right. Our Keeper Zal_No.18 guessed the direction correctly but the ball was delivered too fast and very near the woodwork that not even a World Class Keeper would had gotten that. BlackJack Equalises...... All Squared at 1 a Pc. Halftime Score: FC Sharks 1 - 1 Blackjack 2nd Half More Subs were made to the line up, to ensure we get the result required to propel us nearer to the top of the table. We went with a more offensive Line-up sending in Cedric our (RM) and made a swop in the strike. This was one of our more attacking line-ups and very strict instructions were given in what we have to do if we got the lead in the 2nd half. We started to fight for every ball and pressured them as much as we could by sending more people whenever we had a corner or freekick situation. Our efforts finally paid off, we sent in our taller players in a bid to head the ball in and it resulted in a frenzy of headers all having one objective in mind, Black Jacks trying to clear out and Sharks trying to score........ But with too much pressure given, Blackjack made a mistake in heading the ball towards their goalmouth resulting in a Goal...... This situation would leave a bad distaste to any team who were in the similar circumstances. Ball back to half way line and restarted.... They started to attack a lot more from their Left side this time, the defensive display by Fazli was put to the test. He cut every ball that comes from his side. Tackles from him was head on with only one word in mind and its known as "Accuracy". Every tackle he made, it was at the ball and each time he slide, the opponent's possession was taken away. He sums up the game with a display of good control juggling the ball with the opponent watching on from the back as there was no way the opponent gonna dispossess this top form Defender. Coming to the last 10 mins, BlackJack did everything they could and they very nearly succeeded in getting the equaliser...but with the ball been fought for every given opportunity, Sharks managed to hold onto their 1 Goal Lead which they very much need to stand a chance in going to the top half of the league table. Soon it was Full time.... Sharks Won 2 - 1 and stretch their unbeaten record to 18 in all Games.... Pictures will be uploaded for all to view soon....Pls be a little tolerant if the resolution is not good as we will be getting a digi camn soon and will show better pics in our next game. Man of the Match: No. 17 Fazli Fazli had displayed great defensive work in the back line and eliminated all threats from the opponents. Plus his cool display of holding the ball when the team was under pressure is very commendable. Qualities as such do really set an example for all to follow and be in awe of his good display.
